Our Story
Nyazebenda Sare Youth Association (NSYA) is a group of the Bissa people, known as SARE. This Association is established by the Sare youth in Accra – Ghana. The Association is to help Bissa – Sare youth to participate in the social, economic and political landscape of Ghana adequately. If not all Bissas, most Bissas are culturally deprived and socially maladjusted, while they have a rich culture and have also contributed to world civilization. Although the Bissa People have scattered across West Africa, the targeted group here is Bissa-Sare in Ghana. Nevertheless, we welcome all the groups belonging to the Bissa ethnic groups globally. Moreover, we welcome everybody regardless of his/her nationality, gender, religious creed and political affiliation, provided the person supports and shares the vision and mission of the Association.
Our Mission
Nyazebenda Sare Youth Association (NSYA) believes that education will enable its members to open every locked door. Knowledge will empower NSYA to emancipate Bissa-Sare People, old and young, so that they can be independent and self-sufficient. Moreover, NSYA intends to inculcate in the members self-esteem and self-reliance. The unification of NSYA will strengthen the brotherhood, sisterhood and social cohesion. This will make the cooperation of NSYA stronger than ever, whereby NSYA will be reckoned with. In so doing, the NSYA will have the know-how and wherewithal to contribute massively to the social, economic, cultural and political aspirations of its People. The NSYA intends to cooperate with other organizations and individuals who are willing to contribute to the development of Bissa-Sare People, regardless of their nationality, gender, religious creed, social status and political affiliation.
Our Vission
The Nyazebenda Sare Youth Association (NSYA) takes it upon itself to make an optimal contribution to the development of the target group. To achieve this NSYA will ensure the maximal utilization of the potentials and unearth the God given talents of its members. Given the fact that Bissa -Sare has a rich culture and historical heritage, NSYA intends to sensitize and educate its members about these rich cultural and historical heritage. This will bring awareness in the Bissa-Sare society and will equip the members to interact with others, who are non Bissas on an equal ground and level without recourse to fear and self-loathing. We condemn and abhor any form of discrimination so long as you are Bissa-Sare or have the intrinsic motivation to contribute to the development of Bissa-Sare.
